When reinstalling ShellToys XP, or upgrading to a later version, always do the following.

Either:

• Install to the same folder as the previous ShellToys installation, so that existing files are replaced; Or:

• Uninstall the previous version of ShellToys, restart the computer, and then install the new version.

Uninstalling first isn't recommended as your settings and preferences will also be removed. However, files such as your New From Template template files and Go To Folder items are not deleted.

When reinstalling or upgrading ShellToys, you will usually be prompted to restart the computer. This is because key ShellToys components are in use and 'locked' by Windows, and can only be 'unlocked' and replaced when Windows shuts down.
